Triumph Design Awards 2020 and Triumph Junior Designers 2020

 

You will be aware of the unprecedented Government guidelines which were announced this week regarding avoiding all unnecessary social contact and mass gatherings due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. In addition to this, the announcement of indefinite school closures and other measures to protect and limit the spread of this virus.

 

As a result we have taken the very difficult decision to cancel the Triumph Design Awards 2020 and Triumph Junior Designers 2020 competitions.

 

While this decision has been an extremely difficult one to make, and like all other event organisers in the UK we have considered all alternative possibilities, ultimately we have a responsibility to work together within the given guidelines. Our priority is safety, and we feel it would be unreasonable to conduct school visits or hold our annual finals ceremony under these circumstances. Our team also appreciate the difficult times that schools, teachers and students will be facing given the recent announcement over school closures, and feel our competition and initiatives should be put on hold, given these very challenging times.
